Cholesterol Isn’t the Villan

I’m an InsulinIQ certified coach, trained to focus on insulin resistance as the root cause of many chronic conditions. I’m also a certified coach and a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF).

That combination matters. Doctors provide treatment and information — but my role is different. I know the difference between knowing, understanding, and actually getting things done. My work is to help you move past fear, confusion, and emotional roadblocks, and guide them toward simple, practical steps that support recovery.

⚠️ Disclaimer

This is not medical advice. I’m not your doctor, and I don’t want to be. If you’re looking for another pat on the back that “cholesterol is bad, take the pill and shut up,” stop reading now.

What follows will challenge decades of dogma, upset some professionals, and maybe even piss you off. Good. Science isn’t about comfort — it’s about evidence. Talk to your doctor before changing anything. But don’t ever outsource your thinking.

TL;DR

Most people still believe cholesterol and triglycerides eaten in food end up clogging arteries forever. It’s a neat story. It’s also wrong.

The reality: cholesterol is essential, most of it is made by your liver, and plaque doesn’t form because cholesterol is “sticky.” It forms because of insulin resistance, inflammation, oxidative stress, and metabolic dysfunction.

My challenge to you: don’t believe me. Don’t believe your doctor. Don’t believe anyone. Read the studies yourself. Every single study is flawed — but when you look at the pattern across decades of research, the cholesterol dogma collapses.
